Joining a College Studies Program Community

Acceptance into either of Waukegan High School's College Studies Program Communities is based on parent and student choice. In order to prepare students for selective colleges and universities, both CSP communities have increased academic rigor and additional required courses when compared to traditional communities. If desired, Middle School and High School counselors are available to counsel students and their parents regarding this decision. Entering Freshmen wishing to enroll in a CSP community can do so as part of the registration process in February of their eighth grade year. ALL entering ninth grade students are encouraged to explore the opportunities available within the CSP program before deciding between the CSP and Traditional Communities.

After the beginning of the Freshman year, entrance to and exit from a College Studies Program Community is subject to WHS policy regarding house transfers.
