Curriculum for College Studies

General Requirements
4 years of English
4 years of Social Studies 4 Years of college prep mathematics*
4 years of one foreign language
1 year of Humanities
1 year of Critical Thinking/ Speech
4 years of physical education (including health and driver's education)
1 semester of Exploring Technology
8 semesters of electives and/ or study halls limited to 2 semesters of study hall per year
Selection of one area of study for concentration in the 11th and 12th grades: Fine Arts, International Studies Program, Math/ Science/ Business/ Technology, Elective Studies

*Specific courses taken in junior high/ middle school, such as Algebra and the first year of foreign language will help to fulfill the requirements for CSP and therefore, open up more electives for the students in the 11th and 12th grades. However, please note that these classes will not fulfill the requirements for graduation for Waukegan High School and will not necessarily fulfill requirements for college entrance.
