ART I

Course Description

An introduction to the various facets of art through a general survey of materials and an exploration of subject matter for both those who intend to continue studies in art in high school and beyond, and those who do not.The concentration will be on processes and techniques with an emphasis on technical skills, craftsmanship and the language of art.  Students will create original works of art as well as begin to form an appreciation for the various aspects of the art world, both historical and contemporary.
