Art I
5th period class meets in W151, our alternative art room. 8th period
meets in the traditional art room, E005. In this class we attempt to
learn through exploration. Establishing a fundemental understanding of
materials and processes. Learning the basic styles of art in art
history and creating new worlds based on those stylistic endeavors.

Art II
Periods 1 and 2 meet in
art room E005. In these classes we learn in depth through more
investigations and the critical analysis of discipline based art
education . Expectations and standards are raised . Establishing a
understanding of artists and the art world. Students learn to
appreciate thier work on a more professional level and create applied
arts as well as the fine art.

Art III
Periods 3 meets in E005. This is an advanced art
class for the serious minded art student. Here they learn real life
applications to the real world problems that arise as an artist in any
related art field. New forms of art are introduced and concentrateed
on, such as film, animation, and computer graphics. This is prelude to
our new art 4 AP class.

Art IV
This class meets 7th period and
we also meet one Monday a month after school for three hours for
lecture. It is the ultimate art class with all the bells and whistles.
Here students learn the basic fundamentals of university art. Basic
design, the language of art and portfolio creation. Students create a
professional porfolio for submission to any university, college or art
school. It is a rigorous course and faster paced.
