OMBUDSMAN
The Ombudsman program was developed to serve disruptive students under 17 years of age who are given another chance in lieu of expulsion. As a result of the intake process, an individual learning plan is developed for each student and is monitored monthly. The program is computer-assisted with a student-teacher ratio of 10 to 1. Ombudsman has many sites including Libertyville, Gurnee, Zion and a new location in Waukegan that opened in October 2005, serving approximately 30 students. For further information regarding the Ombudsman program contact Chris Dreyer, Assistant Director at (847) 360-5540.
