Elery M.

Jack Benny Middle School staff and students would like to thank Elery M., a member of Temple Jeremiah, and her Bar Mitzvah guests for generously donating over 600 books to Jack Benny Middle School library last fall, 2006! These books have been added to the library collection and/or donated to families of Jack Benny students at Family Reading nights. This contribution directly benefited Jack Benny students who can now check out four books at one time! Jack Benny parents have also greatly appreciated receiving books to read at home with their children. Thank you very much, Elery!

Eric S.

Jack Benny Middle School< extends a big thank you to Mr. Eric S., a member of Temple Jeremiah, for creatively raising over $600 for Jack BennyMiddle School to purchase very much needed physical education (P.E.) equipment! For his Bar Mitzvah, Eric asked friends and family to sponsor him based on free throw basketball shots he made. Eric collected the donations, and then went shopping with Jack Benny physical education teachers to purchase basketballs, soccer balls, bats, volley balls and other physical education equipment. Jack Benny students have been putting the equipment to great use during P.E. classes. Thank you, Eric!

R2 Electronics

In the fall of 2006, R2 Electronics, whose owner is affiliated with Temple Jeremiah, generously donated eight VCRs to Jack Benny Middle School. The VCRs allow more teachers to utilize educational videos to engage students in the curriulum. Thank you, R2 Electronics!

Temple Jeremiah Members

Thank you to all the members of Temple Jeremiah for generously donating books to Jack Benny students in February, 2008. These books will be put to great use; they will either be added to the library collection or given out to Jack Benny families at our Family Reading Nights. They help us increase the amount of books that the students can check out at one time, ex. from three to four, and help provide much needed books for reading to younger siblings at home. Thank you, Temple Jeremiah!
