What is PBIS?

PBIS or Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports is a system developed to prevent and respond to classroom and school discipline problems. PBIS focuses on enhancing safe learning environments where teachers can educate and transmit positive values and students can gain knowledge and understanding of those same positive values.

By increasing the amount of appropriate behavior, students spend more time in the classroom.  Consequently, teachers gain more time to teach which will, intern, increase the students' and the school's success.
