Mr. Brian Carr

Welcome to my home page.  My name is Brian Carr and this is my third year serving as Assistant to the Principal at Glen Flora.  I am proud to be a part of the Glen Flora team. Prior to working at Glen Flora, I taught physical education for 5 years in the Waukegan Public Schools.  During that time, I received my master's degree in educational leadership from Northeastern Illinois University.  Glen Flora Elementary School is a great place for a child to receive not only a quality education, but to learn how to be a respectful citizen and part of a community. 

I have seen a great deal of growth at Glen Flora over the past three years.  Test scores are on the rise, our PTO is very involved, and our staff has received several quality professional development opportunities.   Through hard work from our staff, families, and most importantly our students, Glen Flora successfully met the state requirements to meet AYP (adequate yearly progress) in 2006-2007.  The challenges always lie ahead but I know we will continue to strive to improve to meet these challenges through dedication and teamwork. 

My favorite extra curricular activity is spending time with my family and playing with my two sons.  I also enjoy fishing and am an avid sports fan.
