Destination Imagination

October 20, 2008 Dear Parents:

Wednesday, October 22, 2008 is our first annual Destination Imagination Night from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. Destination Imagination is a national competition that allows students to think „out of the box‰ in solving problems. DI teaches teamwork, explores areas of creativity, and develops problem solving skills. Our Jefferson DI teams have won many competitions in the past and we are looking to expand by having more teams this year. Students that compete in DI can participate in the areas of:  Technical, Design, Construction and Innovation:  Theater Arts and Science  Theater, Fine Arts and Playwriting  Theater Arts, Improvisation and Research  Structural and Architectural Design

Those students and parents that attend our DI Open House will be able to work on mock challenges and get to learn more about DI. The students that attend also get a free dress down day. The first 56 students that attend also get a free field trip to Brookfield Zoo on November 10th with Destination Imagination. Come out on Wednesday to participate- we look forward to seeing you.

El miércoles, 22 de octubre de 2008 es nuestra primera noche anual de Imaginación del Destino 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Imaginación del Destino es una competición nacional que permite a los estudiantes para pensar "fuera de la caja" y resolver problemas. ID enseña trabajar en equipo, explorar áreas de creatividad, y desarrollo de la resolución de problemas. Nuestros equipos de Jefferson ID han ganado muchas competiciones en el pasado y queremos tener más equipos este año. Los estudiantes que compiten en ID pueden tomar parte en las áreas de:  Técnica, Diseño, Construcción y Innovación  Artes del Teatro y la ciencia  Teatro, las bellas artes y la dramaturgia  Diseño Estructural y Arquitectónico Esos estudiantes y padres que asistan a nuestra Casa Abierta de ID podrán trabajar en desafíos simulados y aprender más acerca de ID. Los estudiantes que asistan también consiguen un día de vestido libre. Los primeros 56 estudiantes que asistan también consiguen un viaje al Brookfield Zoo el 10 de noviembre con Imaginación del Destino. Venga el miércoles para participar- esperamos verlos.
