Weblog Viewing (Readers)

There are two ways to view a weblog. The easy way and the hard way.

The Hard Way

To go to each of your weblog websites via your browser and see if a new item has been posted. This can take you several hours, depending on the amount of weblogs you visit.

The Easy Way

LET YOUR COMPUTER DO THE WORK FOR YOU!

Get a RSS Web News Reader. This is an application that goes out to all of your Weblogs (that you subscribe to) and automatically checks to see if a new item has been posted. If a new item has been posted, it downloads it for you to read.

Here are a couple of readers:

For Mac OS X: NetNewsWire, http://ranchero.com/netnewswire
For Windows: SharpReader, http://www.sharpreader.net

Weblog Activated

Today I was at the NICE Mini-Conference and I sat in a workshop entitled What the heck is a weblog and why should I care?

I knew about weblogs but I never was in to writing them. I am more of a mather than a writer. However, I guess now I am ready to take the plunge and will try writing my own. This is a big step for me. I am nervous and excited at the same time. Here goes.
