Purpose
To build life lessons about staying healthy, friendships, dating,
abstinence and setting goals for a successful future with their peers.
Branches
The Future is Ours Group is for 6th grade girls
Girl 2 Girl is for 7th & 8th grade girls
MVP'S (Males Valuing Personal Success) is for 7th & 8th Grade boys
Requirements
VERY EXCLUSIVE!
Students must be recommended from their counselor.
The ideal candidate should be on track for academic success, are role models,
demonstrate ability to stand up to peer pressure, resolve conflicts peacefully,
positive attitude toward peers, group leaders and school staff.
These students should be perceived by staff and classmates as positive leaders.
Once recommended by their counselor, they must have a teacher recommendation form filled and a parent permission form.
