Discipline
The development of appropriate behavior is based on the concept that acceptable behavior is as necessary to the development of a child as are the development of reading and math skills.
The basic philosophy and rational of Little Fort‚s discipline procedures will be pertinent and contingent to guiding our young people into meeting the demands of a compassionate as well as a cooperative society. All disciplinary situations will be administered with dignity and professionalism.
- Discipline will be fair but firm, involving students, parents, teachers and the principal.
- The atmosphere of the school will be conducive to learning. Therefore, students are not to bring to school items that will distract from this learning atmosphere (toys, walkman‚s etc).
- Courtesy and good manners will be expected.
- Students are expected to respect themselves and their fellow students and all members of the school staff.
- Students are expected to take appropriate care of the school building, furniture, books and equipments.
- There is a zero tolerance policy concerning weapons or toys that look like weapons.
