Dress Code
Dear Parents/Guardians,
As voted upon by the Waukegan School
Board on May 24, 2005 a uniform policy for Waukegan students will be in
effect for the 2005/06 school years. This school year students at
Little Fort will be required to wear white collared polo shirts or navy
blue sweatshirts and navy blue pants, navy blue shorts or navy blue
skirts (knee length). Students may also wear any of our spirit clothing
with our name and logo on it.
There will be a grace period of
one week for new students and returning students who were unable to
purchase uniforms during the summer months. ALL students are expected
to be in their official school uniforms every day. We believe that
school uniforms instill in our students a sense of belonging and help
strengthen school unity.
The official school colors are navy
blue and white. Listed below you will find the types of clothing that
will be acceptable at Little Fort School.
ACCEPTABLE
Navy blue jumpers and skirts
Navy blue shorts and skorts
Navy blue pants
White shirts with collar
White or navy blue polo shirts
White or navy blue turtlenecks and mock turtlenecks
White or navy blue knit polo shirts with school name
Plain Navy blue or white sweaters
Navy blue or white "Little Fort School" sweatshirts
Black shoes are encouraged, but gym shoes are acceptable.
Shorts under the skirt or jumper are highly recommended for girls on gym days.
UNACCEPTABLE
Blue jeans
T-shirts with no collar
T-shirts with designs or colors
Sweatshirts with designs or colors
Sweaters with designs or colors
Navy blue sweat pants (may be worn underneath skirts and jumpers on cold days but must be removed once students enter class)

In
order to keep costs at a minimum we have received some good prices for
our uniforms from America Outfitters, a local vendor in Waukegan. You
will have to place your order here at school so we can place bulk
orders with them. You may purchase your clothing elsewhere if you so
desire.
If you would like to order uniforms at Little Fort you
may do so on Thursday, August 16, 2005 from 2:00 to 6:00 pm. Samples of
all apparel will be available here for proper fitting.

Estimados Padres / Tutores,
La Junta Directiva de las Escuelas de Waukgan aprobó la póliza de Uso
de Uniformes el 24 de mayo del 2005. Esta póliza entrara en efecto en
el año escolar 2005-2006. En este nuevo año escolar los estudiantes de
Little Fort estarán requeridos a usar uniformes. El uniforme consistirá
de camisa blanca polo con cuello, o sudadera azul oscuro con pantalones
azul oscuro, pantalones cortos o falda (a la rodilla) azul oscuro. Los
estudiantes también podrán usar otras vestimentas que tengan el logo de
Little Fort.
Para
poder mantener el precio bajo, nosotros contactamos American
Outfitters, un negocio local de Waukegan. Ellos nos han ofrecido un
precio razonable si ordenamos en grandes cantidades. Usted puede
obtener los uniformes donde más se le haga más conveniente.
Si
desean ordenar los uniformes en Little Fort, lo podran hacer el jueves
18 de agosto del 2005, comenzando a las 9:00 - 11:30 a.m. Tendremos
muestras de los uniformes y diferentes tallas para que puedan escoger.

Students may not wear face make-up and because of the safety factor, dangle earrings are discouraged.
