I returned to college full time to complete my degree in the mid 1980's. I graduated with a B.A. in Elementary Education from Northeastern Illinois University in 1988. However, I was not destined to teach at that time in my life. I was an order entry/customer service supervisor for a pharmaceutical company for nine years. The company was eventually sold and I decided I needed to work in my true vocation, which is teaching. I came to North School in 1998, where I have taught Kindergarten, First and Second grades. I am actively involved as a member of the Accelerated Schools Project and the Positive Behavior Intervention System. I am dedicated to school reform.
I love the Fine Arts! I play piano and a little guitar. I love to dance. I also do volunteer work at Maryville Academy in Des Plaines where I work with neglected and/or abused children who DCFS has placed at Maryville.
Most of all, I love children and want to see each of our students succeed!
