Oakdale School held its annual Snow Ball dance on Friday, January 27, 2006. The dance was held in the evening for students in grades K-3 and their parents. The gymnasium was decorated in snowflakes and winter scenes. A disco ball hung from the ceiling of the gym for added ambience. Students and parents were dressed up and ready to dance the night away. Ms. Vega, Oakdale's school principal, acted as DJ for the event and kept all the participants on the dance floor. Each grade level had a "spotlight" dance where they took center stage on the dance floor and showed off their great dance moves. Even the teachers had their own spotlight dance. Delicious refreshments were available. All in all, the Snow Ball was a huge success.
