Proper Body Positioning

The student should be seated in a chair with their knees bent at a 90 degree angle and their hips at about 80 degrees (this positions them slightly leaning forward toward their desk) with their feet flat on the floor. The student should not be slouched over their desk, turned sideways in their seat, or have their feet dangling. When in this position, the students elbow should be approximately 2 inches above the writing surface and their arm should form about a 30 degree angle with their body.

Quick Tips:

1. Adjust the desk height or swap desks with another student that also needs a different size of desk.

2. Adjust the height of desk first, then add a foot rest and/or back rest to positioning student in the above mention position.
