Employment Opportunities
Thank you for your interest in Waukegan Community Unit School District 60. As you may discern from our web site we are a large school district with programs and services ranging from preschool through high school. What you may not know is that Waukegan is located in Illinois next to Lake Michigan, 50 miles north of Chicago, and 60 miles south of Milwaukee just east of I-294. The district provides educational services for more than 16,000 students in fourteen elementary schools (1-5), one kindergarten center, several early childhood centers, five middle schools, two alterantive education settings, a ninth grade center and an upper grade center (Waukegan High School). Each category of special education including the low incidence classifications of autism, hearing impaired, and visually impaired is serviced within the district. Because nearly 70% of our students are Hispanic, we are particularly interested in employing School Psychologists who are bilingual in Spanish and English; however, we are also interested in monolingual English speaking professionals. Those who would like to apply for a position may do so by requesting an application from: Mr. Fredrick Howard, Associate Superintendent for Human Resources, Waukegan Public School District 60, Waukegan, Illinois 60085. Complete and return the application to Mr. Howard along with an official transcript, three letters of recommendation, and a resume. Please print Attention Dr. Christina Conolly-Wilson on the top right cover of the application. If you are interested in District 60 and would like more information please contact: Dr. Christina Conolly-Wilson, Lead Psychologist, Waukegan Community Unit School District 60 Waukegan, Illinois 60085 847-360-5580 cconolly@waukeganschools.org
