In Washington, scientists are interviewing local Native Americans to gain a better understanding of the Skagit River and how to save the wild salmon.

  • History of for Kids
    • Europe, Asia and Africa before 1500 A.D. History for Kids! devotes itself to teaching human history in the most accessible possible way. We try to enable all people to understand and appreciate our past. We're particularly concerned to provide access to people who might otherwise have trouble accessing information such as children, people with learning disabilities, people living in places where it is difficult to learn, and people for whom English is not their first language. We try to write history that is easy to read and yet still accurately reflects current ideas, debates, and information.
  • Hyper History
    • HyperHistory is an expanding scientific project presenting 3,000 years of world history with an interactive combination of synchronoptic lifelines, timelines, and maps. Over 2,000 files are interconnected throughout the site. In addition to that HyperHistory provides several hundred links to the world wide web. The growing site itself contains presently over 50MB of images and text files, but individual gif files are kept small enough to allow for a quick display.
