    • This site has a wide variety of whimsical online stories. Bedtime-Story has LOTS of story categories but you have to scroll down through the webpage to see all the stories.

  • Internet Public Library Storyhour
    • This site has a small variety of online stories. The website has both a text and graphics version of the stories to allow for faster download.
  • Sunshine Library
    • This site has a variety of colorful and engaging online stories. To view the stories you will need Macromedia Shockwave.
  • Starfall.com
    • The Starfall reading program is designed specifically for the emergent reader. It makes use of interactive books and rhyming word family games that teach phonemic awareness, comprehension, vocabulary building and spelling skills.
  • Learning Activities
    • This website is really cute. It has a ton of online stories and it even has homework sheet to go with some. The stories do not read the words however the graphics are really neat. The books are under the learning activities section.
