World Geography

You can learn a lot about a culture by visiting their tourism websites. These websites show the best of a countries culture to attract people to come and visit. For the World Geography section I have included some general World Geography sites and I have included tourism pages for different regions. This is not a complete list.     • This is an extensive collection of links dealing with World Geography.

  • Geo Quiz
    • Test your geography knowledge by clicking on different regions and answering questions.

  • Enchanted Learning Geography
    • This is a collection of geography pages, maps, printouts, flags, quizzes, and activities for students. The pages are listed by continent (at the top of the page), alphabetically, and by topic. This link will take you directly to the U.S. Geography page.

  • CIA World Fact Book
    • The World Factbook provides national-level information on countries, territories, and dependencies. Here you will find, maps, flags and basic country information.

  • Africa Studies Center
    • The aim of this guide is to assist K-12 teachers, librarians, and students in locating on-line resources on Africa that can be used in the classroom, for research and studies. This guide summarizes some relevant materials for K-12 uses available on the African Studies WWW. The African Studies Web also contains information that is not listed in this guide. The resources included in this guide are accessible via the African Studies Web server; or through 'hyper links' to other Africa-related databases at institutions worldwide.

  • Latin American Network Information Center
    • LANIC's mission is to facilitate access to Internet-based information to, from, or on Latin America. Our target audience includes people living in Latin America, as well as those around the world who have an interest in this region. While many of our resources are designed to facilitate research and academic endeavors, our site has also become an important gateway to Latin America for primary and secondary school teachers and students, private and public sector professionals, and just about anyone looking for information about this important region.
