Due to a scheduling confict, the dates of two Web Training classes in February have changed. Phase II will now be held on Wednesday, February 7, and Discussion Groups will be held on Wednesday, February 14. I apologize for the inconvenience.

Note: I have not scheduled any Phase III or Discussion Groups classes at the time due to a lack of interest (from staff members) and a shortage of available times. Please let me know if you are interested in taking these advanced classes when they are next offered.

The training classes scheduled for early October are filling up quickly. Phase I and Phase II are full, and several people are on the waiting list. Phase III and Discussion Groups still have space available for web editors who have already completed the earlier classes.

I do not have any future classes scheduled yet, but I am looking at dates in November or December. Please e-mail me if you would like to be on the contact list for future classes.

I am creating a new class on using the Discussion Group feature of Manila. Adding a Discussion Group to your site will allow two-way communication between teachers, parents, and students. You control who can post messages to the group and who can read them. In this class you will learn how to post messages, how to add members to the group, and how to manage what the members can read and post.

The class will be 12 pm to 2 pm on Tuesday, June 13, 2006, in the WHS Library Blue Lab and will be open to anyone who has completed Manila Phase II. (Phase III is not required.) For more information or to signup, e-mail me at webmanager@waukeganschools.org.
