Site NavigationThe navigation menu is the small menu on the left side of your screen that allows people to quickly access stories from your site. Besides just adding links you will also need to know how to move and delete them. To edit anything in the navigation menu you need to make sure you are logged in (See Getting Started) and you need to click the edit button from the navigation menu (see picture below). Adding links to your navigation menu
Remember, you need to create your stories before you can add them to the navigation menu. This is what my navigation menu looks like: For this example, I am going to add a link to the “Staff” story.
Now, my navigation menu looks like this: Moving links in your navigation menuOnce you have added a link to your navigation menu you should choose which order the links should be. Remember, you need to create your stories and links before you can move them in the navigation menu.
Deleting links in your navigation menuWhen you delete stories you need to delete the links to those stories. In the next example I will delete the “Staff” story.
Navigation Title WrappingIf the title is too long for the navigation bar, Manila will automatically wrap your text. To stop this from wrapping, place “ ” between the words. ( is an HTML special character that means non-breaking space.) For example, my title is Other Pictures and Manila wraps it between Other and Pictures like this: Other ...so in the title I put “Other Pictures”.
