Library Media Center
The Library Media Centers have been designed to serve the students, staff and the community. Through the instructional activities, resources, facilities, and technologies provided in the program, the students, the staff and the community will become effective and efficient users and creators of ideas and information. The Library Media Centers provide the following:
- An environment that is conducive to learning
- An organized collection of materials (fiction, non-fiction and reference collections, pamphlets, college and career information, newspapers, online resources, audio-visual materials and equipment, etc.) that support the curriculum and the leisure interests of the students, staff, and community
- Materials that assist the staff in curriculum development and professional growth
- Instruction to students and staff in the use of materials and equipment and information literacy skills
- Special programming that fosters the goal of life-long learning
- The UGC (Upper Grade Center) Library Media Center provides large and small group and individual study areas, two computer classrooms, an audio-visual room, a professional library, and display areas
- The NGC (Ninth Grade Center) Library Media Center provides large and small group study areas,one computer classroom,and an area for audio-visual and professional materials and display areas
- An information sheet regarding the hours, loan procedures, etc. will be available to all persons at each site
