Testing Schedule

Following is a list of the various tests available to Waukegan High School students during the school year. Watch for announcements for additional tests, changes in test dates, and changes of fee amounts during the year.

PSAT /Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. There is a fee for this.

ACT American College Test - College Admission. Seniors and juniors. Juniors take the ACT in the spring for Illinois State Scholarship Commission purposes. Fee. Late registration is an additional fee. Registration packets are in the Guidance Office for mailing. WHS Code #144-322.

SAT I Scholastic Assessment Test (College Boards) Seniors/Juniors late in the year. Fee. Walk-in fee extra. Application forms for mailing available in the Guidance Office. WHS Code #144-322.

SAT II Subject Test (formerly called Achievement Tests) Seniors. One hour tests that measure level of achievement in subject areas. Fee. Given on same morning as SAT. Use same application as SAT.

AP Advanced Placement Exams. Seniors. College credit and/or advanced placement in college courses are possible. Fee. Forms available in the Guidance Office.

IPAT Institute for Personality & Ability Testing This inventory is designed to assist students involved in the process of career and educational decision-making. The inventory is geared for students seeking a career that requires a college education. Fee. Seniors/Juniors. Available on request.

All of the above tests will be given at Waukegan High School. Deadlines for ACT and SAT are postmarked dates. See registration booklets for penalty deadlines. All fees are subject to change. It is the student's responsibility to mail the application.
