Transportation, Bus Arrival/Departure, Student Parking
TRANSPORTATION
All students are transported to and from the Campus by buses provided by their home school. Any deviation from this practice must be by mutual agreement between the student's home school administration and the Tech Campus administration. Extenuating circumstances with regard to the individual student must be substantiated before consideration is given to a student's use of transportation other than the bus provided by the home school.
If you miss your bus:
- Coming to the Tech Campus - Notify the home school Vocational Coordinator/Dean's Office for instructions.
- Leaving the Tech campus - Immediately notify the Tech Campus' Student Services Office for instructions.
If it becomes necessary for a student to drive to the Campus on a particular day, the student must first have a filed Permit-to-Drive request, signed by his/her parent, home school official, Tech Campus official and instructor. If permission is granted, the student may not transport other students to or from the Campus. Upon expiration of the driving permit, it is the student's responsibility to return the permit to his/her instructor. Students receiving authorization to drive to/from the Tech Campus on a permanent basis will be charged a $5.00 permit fee for the 2004-2005 school year. Once the permit is obtained this fee is non-refundable and non-transferable. Permits are authorized on a very limited basis.
THE SPEED LIMIT ON LCHS TECH CAMPUS IS 5 M.P.H.
BUS ARRIVAL/DEPARTURE
Every school day, buses arrive at the LCHS Tech Campus approximately five minutes before the starting time of each Tech Campus session; buses depart from the Tech Campus within five minutes after the end of each session. Students are expected to enter and leave the building through the main doors located in the front lobby.
STUDENT PARKING
If a student is granted permission to drive, he/she must park their car in the large CLC parking lot directly to the east of the Tech Campus. Students are not allowed to park in any other location on the Tech Campus. The Tech Campus reserves the right to inspect any car on its property and CLC parking lot areas.
