METHOD OF GRADING

  1. A traditional system of grading will be used at the LCHS Tech Campus: A, B, C, D, F, I (Incomplete).
  2. Grades will be reported to the participating schools on a quarterly and semester basis. The grade is determined by a combination of program point systems relating to completion of program goals, task competencies, and employability traits. The instructor in the evaluation process will utilize the "Employability Growth Appraisal" instrument. Every student will receive a copy of this evaluation instrument at the end of each quarter and is expected to share this evaluation with his/her parent(s).
  3. The student must make up an Incomplete within four weeks after grades are reported.
  4. Progress reports will be sent home to parents and to the participating schools during the fifth week of each quarter for students doing failing or near failing work. Progress reports may also be sent for the purpose of recognizing student achievement and keeping parents informed of their student's progress.

Regular attendance and promptness in reporting to class are vital to success at the Tech Campus in the world of work. Absenteeism will be evaluated through the "Employability Growth Appraisal" instrument.

NOTE: Work made up WILL NOT remove absence days from the official school attendance record.
